A message from Paige....
Hey I'm Paige and I guess you know me as the 'surf girl'. Well I'm exactly like you, only human :) I love being a teenager, hanging out with my friends and family. Editing surf movies, playing a lot of sport and of course surfing the net! I also eat Hubbard's Cereal just like you! You ask, how did I get to where I am today? By plane... no but really... I was born in New Plymouth and have lived in a little place 10 minutes from New Plymouth for my whole 20years on this wonderful world called Oakura. My Dad Mike, Mum Fiona, Sister Rachael and Brother Levi have always been very sporty, so being the youngest I always was so competitive with my family, always trying to beat them in everything.
Growing up I never really thought I could be a professional surfer. Always busy doing so many sports, I thought I would either be a pro soccer player, basketball player, skier or tennis player and surfing seemed to be just another hobby on the side. If all else failed with my sport, I had this idea that I would be a physiotherapist for some sports team. So after Dad pushing me into my first waves and competing from then on, it started getting hectic and my sports started clashing so I had to choose. It was obvious, at the age of 14 I had my first sponsor for surfing, I could surf everyday and it would always be different, every single wave of my life is different,
I'm never going to get bored. It's been over 10 years now since I first hopped on a surfboard and I still feel like I've only just started surfing, the same amazing thrill is still there. I feel lucky to be able to surf for a living, to travel the world, see new places, meet new people, experience cultures and new food. I want to be able to do all of this for as long as I can. To stay fit and healthy. So I want you to join me, to live the life you've dreamed for as long as you can.
Let's start with keeping healthy - meet you at the bottom of this box!
