Lots of small changes all add up and if the change is small – you are more likely to be able to sustain it.
- Eat more fruit – try canned fruit on your breakfast, dried fruit, fruit snacks as well as fresh fruit
- Hidden veges – add grated veges into pasta sauces
- Switch to low fat or reduced fat options – salad dressings, yoghurt, sour cream, pasta sauces etc
- Try reduced salt options – e.g. tomato sauce
- Switch to tasty cheese – flavour is stronger so you can use less
- Try homemade takeaways – homemade fish and chips with baked chips and grilled fish, homemade burgers, homemade Indian curry’s – generally healthier on your body and your wallet.
